I am really looking forward to the first new potatoes of the season in May. This year we were able to plant the seed as soon as it arrived from Colorado in late January. The crops is looking great, weed free and very green. The leaf size is good which to me is an indication that it has all the calcium and fertility that it needs for a heavy crop. We will be digging potatoes at each Strawberry day from Mid May onwards so if you want to stock up come prepared. There are nine varieties some of which will not be ready until early June. Our goal is to have a different variety every week. You will be able to order more of your favorite ones as an extra with your box.
