Every year for eight or nine years we have been helping Eric Tucker of Millennium hold his annual celebration of the tomato. On Monday, Eric brought 10 of his kitchen crew to the farm to pick tomatoes for Thursday night’s special event. This is very educational for these young chefs. It is important for them to know how the tomatoes they see in the kitchen are grown in the fields. The event is already sold out. Lorraine and I will be there on giving samples of heirloom tomatoes and enjoying a delicious tomato-based dinner.
