P7160031.JPG Our neighbor, Kenji, at Magnum seeds has been raving about his microorganism brew that he adds to his greenhouse and field water. He says everything is greener and healthier. I have used different innoculants in the past with varying levels of success. We also would like to lower the pH of our greenhouse water and as the brew Kenji has been making has a low pH of 3.5 this should help. The pH of our water is over 8 which makes growing transplants for the field difficult. Fernando helped me make our first brew which should be ready any day now. We will mix it into the greenhouse water then test the pH.

During the summer our transplants are grown by Headstart Nursery in Gilroy as the heat and sun are too intense hear for many of the early fall crops. We star planting these crops in the next week or so.
