P7150027.JPG Agustin is unloading some of last years wheat from our storage bins. He soaks it overnight in buckets and feeds it to the chickens, they love it. No wonder the eggs taste so good.

This year we have eight different varieties of wheat and only three bins... so some will have to go into one ton bags. We still have most of last years barley and all the oats in storage awaiting a hulling machine. We store these on the organic farm of Joe Struckmeyer in Arbuckle. I hope the barley will be malted soon and sold to Thirsty Bear Brew Pub in San Francisco. Watch this space for the launch party of the first brew which should be late August. We will also combine this with a Tomato tasting. Looks like it will be quite a party.
