6-8 apples1½ c. oatmeal ½ c. flour ¼ c. brown sugar 2/3 c. melted butter ½ tsp. salt ½ tsp. cinnamon
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Slice apples into bottom of 8” square baking pan. Melt butter in mixing bowl, add rest of ingredients, mix well and press on top of apples. Bake half an hour, or until topping reaches desired crispness. Serve warm with milk or ice cream, or eat cold for breakfast.
You can use pears instead of or along with apples.
