For the second picking day in a row its frosty. We cannot pick the produce for the boxes that we deliver tomorrow this morning until the frost melts away. Picking while frosty will damage the vegetables.
Yesterday we started picking just after nine and we finished packing the boxes that we are delivering today at 6.30 pm. We normally have everything complete by 5 pm.
We pick fresh for the box so a few hours frost delay makes a big difference. It seems like a heavier frost this morning so we may have to change some of the slower to pick to faster items. Last night we just finished picking when it got dark. Please check your newsletter to confirm what items are in your box.
