Last Saturday was a great day, we raised the frame on our farmhouse. The frame kit arrived on a truck from Arizona two weeks ago. The I beams were heavy even though this is the smallest house kit they build. They were carefully lifted into place and bolted together.
There is still more work to do on the frame. Once this is complete we have to frame the cupola which will bring light into the center of the house. We can then start installing the re-bar. This will form the strength of the house when it is encased in a four inch thick shell of concrete.
