Our pepper crop was always getting sun burnt which made about 40% of the crop ugly and unsaleable. A good friend Tom Wiley suggested that we set up a shade cloth over the crop. It is an expensive option costing $7,000+ just for the cloth alone. We did it and boy are we happy now. Our pepper crop is great.
The eggplants do not need shade so longs as you pick them every few days taking th mature fruit and storing it in the cooler.
