Our Farro crop is just coming up after only seven days in the soil. I had tried to buy it in October for November planting but the farmer selling the seed insisted it would be damaged by winter frost. If it does not get too hot we should get a crop. The local farmers here have a mantra which they say no other farmer in the country understands; plant spring wheat in November. I am told no winter wheat is planted in our area, it is all spring varieties.
