This is Jose, the farm foreman. he is very good at his job and is well liked by the crew. He does most of the grading and packing of the tomatoes that leave the farm. We are now selling tomatoes to Calmart in Laurel Village, Rainbow Grocery (both in San Francisco) and Monterey Market in Berkeley. They all get deliveries twice a week. We have lots of tomatoes at our market stand at the Ferry Building in San Francisco on Saturdays.
The crop is the best ever. We put this down to a good year to grow tomatoes and seed saving from our own plants. Those of you in our CSA have been invited to a tomato tasting on the farm and we will also be having them in San Francisco and The East Bay in September.
