On our morning walk, I could not help but admire the beauty of the plum trees.  The abundance and the colors, particularly in the early morning light, were so striking; it almost looked like a painting.  Cameron and I are trying to get into the routine of an early Friday morning walk. Walks are easy to skip, but the importance of walking the farm is so obvious once we are out on there. It is amazing how much you learn simply through observation. Making this a weekly routine will help us learn even more as we observe the changes going on from week to week. It is so easy to get caught up in the computer work, but being out in the fields is invaluable. We are hoping to incorporate meetings with Jose at least a couple of times a month. He is so busy it is hard to find a goodtime to take him away from his regular work, but meeting with Jose will be key in our “farmucation.”
