Lorraine says she dreamed of a small farm where she could have a horse etc when she was a little girl. I think being a farmers wife is a little like ‘be careful what you wish for’. She works incredibly hard helping me run the farm. So many times in the last four years she has been running the farm while I have been ‘dealing’ with my cancer. Last Friday I was at UCSF getting a scan, and that just happened to be the time that Helen May, our house cow, decided to give birth. The vet talked her though the birth over the phone which resulted in Lorraine having to tie a rope above the knees of the calf to pull and aid Helen May. Go Lorraine. Its a boy.
