We have geese on the farm who's original job was to guard the chickens and keep them inside their fence as we moved them around the farm. That idea did not work as the geese and chickens became best friends.

So the geese are now in semi retirement on the farm pond. Their eggs in the spring are much loved by a small but dedicated group of people at the farmers market. Agustin has seven eggs in the incubator which will hatch on May 27th. He has candled the eggs by shining a light inside. He checks that each one has a developing gosling inside.

Watch this space for gosling picture on May 27th!
