1. In the box (in order of what to eat first):

Plums - Store at room temperature until ripe. Then eat 'em! 1-2 days.

Melon - Leave at room temperature until it has reached desired ripeness - eat it! Lasts 1-4 days depending on ripeness to start.

Heirloom, Cherry and Shady Lady Tomatoes -  Leave at room temperature until they have reached desired ripeness - eat 'em! Lasts 1-4 days depending on ripeness to start.

Basil - Trim the ends and place basil in a glass containing about 1 inch of water. Cover with a loose-fitting plastic bag and leave at room temp. Replace the water whenever it gets cloudy. Should keep for about a week. 

Lunch Box Peppers and Bell/Gypsy Peppers - Store in a plastic bag in the crisper. Keeps 1-2 weeks.

Summer Squash - Refrigerate in a plastic bag. Do not wash until ready to eat. Lasts 4-5 days

Eggplant - Wrap in a plastic bag and refrigerate. Lasts 5-7 days. 

Rose Geranium

Onions - Store in a cool dry place out of the light. Lasts 2-3 months.

Shopping List for Eggplant, Tomato and Cucumber Salad:

1/2 cup fresh Cilantro leaves with tender stems

1/2 cup fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves with tender stems

1 Garlic clove, chopped

2 small Green Chiles, such as Thai, seeds removed, chopped, divided - you can tone it down and use the peppers from this week’s share

1/2 cup Olive Oil, divided

3/4 tsp kosher Salt, plus more

3/4 cup plain Whole Milk Greek Yogurt

1 TB fresh Lemon Juice

Vegetable oil for frying, about 2 cups

1/2 lb cucumbers, sliced

Shopping List for My Peak Season Tomato Salad:

Olive Oil

A good salt

Shopping List for Tortilla Soup:

A glug of good Oil (maybe 2 TB)

1 - 2 cloves of Garlic, minced

1 qt Eatwell Farm Chicken Stock or good Vegetable Stock

1 tsp Cumin

1/2 tsp Oregano

2 tsp Chile Powder

If you want it spicier add these two:

Red Chili Flakes, to taste if you want them

Cayenne Pepper, to taste if you want

1 tsp Eatwell Farm Smoked Chili Salt 

Pepper to taste

Tortillas

Avocado chunks

A good salt

2 small green chilies (unless you use the peppers in the box)

3/4 cup plain, whole milk Greek yogurt

1/2 cup sliced cucumbers

2 cups vegetable oil

1 quart Eatwell Farm chicken stock or vegetable stock

1 tsp Cumin

1/2 tsp Oregano

2 tsp Chile Powder
