IMG_5147.JPG The first seeds of this years crop will be sown next week. I have been growing these for 21 years now and spent a great deal of time testing, selecting and saving seed from the best. I am adding a couple of new lines to the tomato crop this year. One is from another California breeder who have larger and delicious cherry tomatoes and another just fifty miles north of us who has three lines of heirlooms which they have been working on. Heirlooms do not yield well, they crack and have almost no disease resistance. That was fine in the early days when the price was good, now everyone grows them and the price is the same as it was 20 years
