Our crop of sweet potatoes is being documented by a photographer, Denise, from San Francisco. She is working on a project for CUESA, who runs the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market.
She was in the field at 6am one Saturday morning in the middle of May when we started planting and will be there when we harvest the first potatoes in mid September. It is quite a wonderful crop as it starts from a very thin cutting with almost no roots and grows into this great mass of vegetation. The potatoes taste amazing too.
