Once our chickens have ended their productive lives here on the farm they have two paths. The first is to become backyard chickens. The second is to become chicken stock. The birds are processed in Stockton under USDA supervision, and then the containers are stored in a freezer warehouse. We have been selling the chicken stock at the farmers market for the past year and have received great reviews. It is rich and nutrient dense, and it has helped me in my recovery. There is no salt added, just the whole pasture-raised bird. We are now offering it to CSA members to be delivered with your box. It will be in a plastic bag in the egg cooler.
