Last Thursday and Friday all hands were on deck as the crew worked diligently to harvest the lavender. Even Ana and Isabel, the sisters who usually pack the eggs, wash the vegetables, weigh the produce and make all of the salts, sugars and body products, worked in the field making bunches. Andrew and Eric also helped by hanging up the lavender in the new drying shed. Jose estimates that over 6,000 bunches were cut and hung up in those two days. With temperatures reaching 106 degrees on Saturday, last week’s lavender had already dried by Monday. [slideshow id=1]
