While the recent rains are welcome to fill up reservoirs, we need to get into the field and plant our early summer and late spring crops. We were able to plant the tomatoes as we had covered the beds with the woven fabric that we use on the strawberries. This allowed us to walk on the beds without damaging the soil. Basil plants arrived on Tuesday, and we hope to plant these by the weekend.
