We plant a variety called California Early, this year 600 lbs of seed cloves were planted in early October. I also ordered 300 lbs of California Late. Then I got a call from the seedsman that they did not have the minimum number of pounds to get the seed grower to crack it and prepare it for planting. I was given the choice of none or 1,000 lbs. You can rest assured that I made the right decision, I bought 1,000 lbs, I knew you would expect me to make that call. So that was all planted a weeks ago and now we have to plan for the mother of all Garlic parties next mid summer weekend. We harvest garlic and then braid it. It keeps much better as a braid. In the New Year we will have all the events for 2012 listed on the website. This party is not to be missed.
