If you are headed out of town for Thanksgiving, please consider donating your box instead of canceling it. In doing so, someone in-need benefits, the farm doesn’t lose revenue during the holiday season and you can feel good about your charitable contribution. We make donations to the Food Pantry in San Francisco and are now coordinating donations for a pantry in Davis. In addition, each week after the market ends on Saturdays, we donate all left-over veggies to the Food Runners. Our new online system actually allows you the option to donate your box rather than cancel it anytime of the year. You all should have received an email with an invitation to log in to your online account. If you have not yet logged in online, please take a minute to do and claim your subscription. If you need us to send you the link to login to your account, please let us know. We think you will find the site easy and convenient for managing your CSA account. Once you are logged in, you will be taken to your own personal member dashboard. Click on the delivery date on the calendar you would like to donate, and click on the “hold delivery” button. From here you will be given the option to either cancel or donate the delivery. We were hoping to have this function employed sooner, but it was completed just this last weekend. If you have already visited the site and canceled a delivery, but would like to change it to a donation instead, you can do so by clicking on the date in question, choose to “get delivery” and then re-submit the request ( you will still be prompted to choose either “hold” or “donate”).
