Incredible Tomatoes
We first grew heirloom tomatoes during the summer of 1993. They were quite a mixed bag, 30% of them cracked and had to be left on the ground. There was scarring and all sorts of problems. Over the many years since much has changed. We have selected only the best to save seeds from. We now know how to grow them better. Eric and I came home from delivering boxes in San Francisco and we walked into the pack house at 11.30 this morning to see this wonderful sight in the picture. This year has been one of the latest to harvest but as the crop has grown so slowly I believe the flavor will be the best.
These tomatoes will be in your boxes to be delivered on Thursday. A big thank you to all of you for supporting our work here on the farm. We hope you enjoy the fruits of our labor as much as we do. Nigel
