Certified Organic

I got a call last week and the paperwork arrived today saying that the back forty has been added to our organic certification. This land is owned by the Erwin Family in Dixon who leased it to us over three years ago. We were asked to turn it organic and we just have. The eggs are not certified. They are fed organic feed and roam on organic pasture but the cost of certification is too great bearing in mind that we could sell every egg a few times over. An extra $1500 in expenses with no financial return does not make sense in this economy. What do you think?
