I have just come back from Lowes with some paint for the chicken house that we have pressure washed in preparation for our next chick arrival on October 13th. We were hoping to have the chicks here this week but the hatchery did not have enough available until next week. I am sorry if you were hoping to see them when you come to the pumpkin party.
The new house will be named after the Davis Sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma. This all stems from a customer and a UCD Professor who is a chicken behaviorist describing the life in a hen house as akin to a Sorority House. I was asking her many questions about the chickens behavior that I could not understand. Her explanation made wonderful sense. We already have an Alpha Chi Omega.
