Last Monday Liz and I taste tested the summer Romaine variety. It needed a good dosing of water and some shade which it now has had. It will be in great condition for next weeks boxes. It was planted at the end of July. We will pick alternate heads allowing the remaining lettuce to mature to full size in another three weeks.
