Muddle a few leaves of lemon verbena in a glass with a couple of slices of lemon. Then add an ounce of sugar water* and shake with crushed ice. Put everything in a glass and top off with some sparkling water. Enjoy! From CSA members Deborah and Tim Ogburn

* To make simple syrup: bring two parts sugar and one part water to a boil in small saucepan. Allow to cool completely and use to sweeten many a drink.
