Asian Greens in the Heat
This spring we have been experimenting with Asian greens. We have been looking for heat tolerant varieties for a stir fry mix. The bed on the right has a mild tender green 'Komatsuna' variety Summer Fest.
We are also trialling a Pac Choi called 'Black Summer' this variety is described as 'very slow bolting'. This is important as many of these greens can turn to flower very quickly at the onset of hot days.
We will see how well they all do as the days warm up. Your feedback on these greens would be appreciated. We are growing them at the request of members wanting more of these crops.
