Aimee walked around the farm with me last Saturday morning while Joe, her husband, got our database up and running on another Computer. They both were instrumental in helping us get our CSA off the ground in 1996 for which we will be forever grateful.
The strawberry crop is looking good and beginning to flower nicely. We hope to have the first strawberries in your box by the third week of April. Our first strawberry event for member starts on May 2nd.
The stakes in the picture above are present in preparation for the shade cloth that will protect the crop from the intense sun. This will be installed earlier this year at the end of April. Our hope is to save the crop if we get an early hot spell.
We know how much everyone loves the strawberries and the events so we are doing our best to make sure they all happen on time.
