I took this picture on Monday morning and was happy to see my first working bee of the year. This has been an unusual winter as we 'normally' get a dry and somewhat warm period in late January/ February. At that time we can get into the field, cultivate and plant. This year we were able to just cultivate our peas before the rain returned. Not that I am complaining about the rain, we needed it. As we are a year round production farm we need to keep picking and planting.
December brought us a nice cold snap which helps mature the fruit buds and brings on a strong blossom. Now all we need is for the sun to shine and the bees to pollinate the flowers in our orchard. Please.
