We plant Romanesco in October it grows slowly then suddenly at the beginning of February when winter turns to almost spring the head rush to fruition. When I say rush I do mean fast, I have seen heads the size of a baseball go to basketball size in under five days. Not bad for this time of the year when most crops struggle to even start growing. The truth is that there is a great deal of energy stored in the plant which is released to form the flower bud, which is what we eat.

Is it a broccoli or Cauliflower? I have seen it listed as both but I am led to believe it is an ancient precursor to one or both of these crops.

Feel My Fractals? I have had some mathematician customers mesmerized by this crop. There is also a Fibonacci in there too.
