The germination of the peas is good. We will soon have to thin the crop. We sow more seeds that we need to make sure we get a full row of pea plants. We do not need to stake this variety as it has a bush habit. It does mean that the picking period is shorter. Our answer is to sow more frequently. We would love to sow more now but the foggy mornings and the occasional shower is keeping the soil too moist for planting.
