Fernando, Cameron and I have been working on the drains for the house. We are putting in two systems one for black water (toilets) that will always be connected to the septic system. The second drain will initially be connected to the septic but someday we hope to be able to treat it and use it for irrigation around the house. There are treatment systems being developed that involve running the water through ponds with various plants in them to remove toxins etc. I do not know enough about this at the present time but we will be setting these drains in concrete so this will give us options down the road. Hopefully the building inspector will see it in this light also. If the rain keeps away this week we hope to call for an inspection on the drains in the next few days.
