Growing Grass
Our wheat crop from 2008 is almost gone now, we had 75 tons. The chickens have eaten most of it but the next biggest is a company that grows wheat grass for Jamba Juice. The are buying it in bulk bins, three at a time. When I deliver I have recently been able to take away some reject trays of grass. The chickens love these. The trays are reject because they may not have grown evenly or some other slight imperfection. There are just roots here nothing else.
So next time you get a shot of wheat grass at Jamba juice you have a one in three chance that it was grown using our wheat.
