Our irrigation system extension will also supply water to a line of newly planted trees along part of our eastern border. First we set up the drip line and insert a pressure compensating dripper every 3 feet. These give out one gallon per minute. After a couple of days the ground will be saturated and we plant the cutting easily into the soil.
The cuttings, 18" long, were taken in March and left in our cooler. Out in the warmth and sun they will soon start to grow. In ten years they will be 80' tall.
