There is one thing I have learned over the past few years, if I want to get our Eatwell Box member out to the farm all we have to do is offer them a filed of strawberries to gorge on. It works every time, sometimes too well and we have had upset customers who signed up late and missed out on the day they wanted.
Here's how it works... Members of eatwell Farm will get a notice with their newsletters listing all the strawberry days and times. They will get a link to a page where they can sign up after a set time. We set a time so that everyone can be informed and no one gets a jump on another. You can bring up to 6 in your party and you must be signed up to attend. We limit the number in the field so that there will be enough strawberries for everyone to enjoy. If the crop is light any particular time then we do place a limit on how many you can take home. there is a small charge for strawberries you take home, the one's you eat are free.
Why do we do this? It is our way of saying thank you for being a member and a great way to meet so many of you. There is always a tour of the farm for those who wish to go on one.
