Last fall we sowed a cover crop in our vineyard. We sorted through all our old seed, made a mixture and sowed it between the rows by hand. It has worked well and produced a great deal of bio mass. We could have left it longer but we wanted to get a handle on the weeds between the vines with our flame weeder. More on that later.
The grapes were planted last summer so this year we will be concentrating on training the vine to the wires. Next year we will have a small crop.
