Yesterday I attended the California Farm Equipment show In Tulare. It has been over 15 years since my last visit so I thought it best to check out some companies and ideas that I have been looking in to.
On my way down I called in at Organic Pastures on Wednesday afternoon. I got a chance to stretch my legs walking around the farm. Anyone can visit and walk around during normal business hours. These cows had just got an extra feed of hay when I took this picture.
These cows live outside on pasture year round. The milking parlor goes to them in the field and moves around the farm with them. During very hot or inclement weather there is a barn to protect them.
At the farm shop I bought some of my favorite chocolate milk made from raw colostrum.
