last year we took over the lease of forty acres adjoining the farm. We grew 75 tons of wheat on it. This fall we will be planting 8 acres of each of the following; Wheat, Triticale, Malting Barley, Winter peas and vegetables/vetch.
The field was deeply cultivated last week and leveled. We are now awaiting a GPS guided tractor to come and list up the beds for the crops.
the land has been owned by the Erwin Family in Dixon since the 1850's.
