The table grapes we planted in July are growing well. We are now busy installing the cross arms and the wire which will hold the fruiting arms of the vines in a couple of years. the vines will be tied to the stakes next week. Once they reach the top of the stake the growing point will be removed to encourage two side shoots which will grow out to the cross arm wires. they will be pinched again to produce the four arms of the fruiting vine. each arm will be about three feet long and hold three bunches of grapes.
