It is flowering time for Calendula. We harvest the flowers from this amazing plant all winter. The partially dried flower buds are infused in organic olive oil and used in our lavender products. This is what makes the sugar scrubs, salve and massage balm so great for your skin.
David is busy in the office taking lavender orders for the holidays—we ship all over the country. Many people who have seen and bought our products at the market need re-supplying for themselves and also give them as holiday gifts. A salt or sugar scrub is a novel and inexpensive hostess or stocking filler. The lavender is now joined by Lemon Verbena, Lemon Balm and Rose Geranium, all of which we have available as essential oils. The main customers for the rare and very special oils are bakers and chocolate makers. The big market for the Hydrosols of these plants are organic cosmetic companies which place orders for them before we distill the plants.
