Windfighters

IMG_7452.JPG We do use many miles of drip lines in the summer but sprinklers also play a big part in irrigating our crops. About four years ago we replaced all the old brass sprinklers with new plastic ones. These distribute water more uniformly. More importantly they work better when it is windy, they are called “wind fighters”. If we plant a crop and then the wind picks up we have to water it promptly. This saves water as we do not have to have it turned on so long.
