These beds grew spinach over the winter and now they will be planted to onions for harvest in August. once any crop is finished Roberto and Ramon get to work preparing the beds for the next crop. No matter what crop the mantra is the same. The crops residues are mowed, compost spread and cultivated in with our Sundance disk. After the disk we roll the beds which stops any clods from drying out too much and breaks the soil down to a nice tilth. Depending on the state of the soil and weather conditions they could irrigate and cultivate and roll again before making the beds or not.
After the onions have been harvested the same process will happen again and Roberto will plant winter wheat in October/November.
