Eggs Packed Full of Flavor

Vegetable feeding time

A member remarked a few weeks ago that the eggs from her urban chickens did not taste as good as ours. She was feeding them organic feed like us. Our girls get a diet with a big variety, that I believe, is the key to flavor. A pasture full of green plants, bugs, wheat and corn soaked in organic whey plus our vegetable waste plus any melon that is just too ripe to put in your box goes to the chickens, they love it. Sunlight and space are all contributing factors. The flavor does change with the season as many of you who have been with us for a while do notice.

In return they fertilize our fields, what a great relationship!
