Sweet Potatoes love the heat

So long as they have enough water around their roots sweet potatoes like as much sun and heat as we can give them here. The plants went into the ground three weeks late due to the cool spring. We are hoping that they will mature by the first week of October. We will then harvest them and store in a nice warm place for the winter. They are really couch potatoes, liking a comfy sofa and 70 F

Our soil is not the best for smooth potatoes but we do get very tasty ones.
