Red Pepper and Sweet Potato Soup

1 sm. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 red bell pepper, chopped
2 cups vegetable bouillon
1 sweet potato, peeled & cut in bite sized chunks
lemon juice
1 cup tomato juice
chili powder
salt and pepper
Tabasco, to taste
fresh basil

Fry onion, garlic, pepper & sweet potato over med. heat for about 10 mins. Add tomato juice & vegetable bouillon & purée mixture to a smooth consistency. Cook soup on a low heat. Season with salt, pepper, chili powder, lemon juice & Tabasco. Allow soup to simmer for 15 mins. Garnish soup for serving with the basil leaves cut in very fine strips.
