Educating Daisy

Daisy is our new guard dog for the chickens. She will be the last line of defence if coyotes get past the electric fence protecting the chickens.
She comes from a long line of working dogs who mostly protect sheep from coyotes. To be trained as a protector of chickens she has to believe she is the alpha chicken. She has been in a run inside a chicken house for the past 3 months. She is now tied up outside with the chickens. So long as she does not eat any chickens she will be given a longer leash each week until she is let loose. She is very smart and doing a great job so far.
